Soda Ash

Soda Ash (also known as sodium carbonate), Na2CO3, is a sodium salt of carbonic acid (soluble in water). Applications:

 

* Glass industry: soda ash is the flux and calcium is a stabiliser ensuring chemical stability.

 

* Detergents and cleaning agents industry: soda ash, together with other sodium compounds, forms an important active filling material in the range of detergents and cleaning agents.

 

* Chemical industry: soda as is used for making mineral fertilizers, sodium inorganic salts such as phosphates, chromates, sulphites, water glass, sodium organic salts, as well as dyes and pigments. Soda is used for regulating and maintaining the proper ph of solutions in the chemical processes which require it. Soda is also used for neutralising and precipitation of metals and certain chemical compounds.
